Hundreds Raised for Red Nose Day

On Friday 21 March, Florence was buzzing with laughter as students and staff got creative for Red Nose Day!

Whether it was striking a pose, flashing a smile, or pulling the funniest face imaginable, everyone brought their A-game. We even had special guests from Co-op Academy Glebe join in on the action.

Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising campaign that has been taking place every year for 40 years. It uses humour and silly red noses to raise money for children facing poverty and hardship, ensuring they are safe, healthy, educated, and empowered. The money raised goes to Comic Relief. Donations have been used to fund baby banks, community food centres and local youth centres, among many other good causes.

"Thanks to your sensational silliness, fantastic fundraising and gigantic generosity an incredible £34,022,590 has been raised so far [across the country] this Red Nose Day. YOU ARE BRILLIANT."

A big shoutout to Umar for finding Florence's special edition Ruby Nose!

In total Florence raised £425.62 for these good causes, which is an excellent achievement as we only have a small Year 7 cohort at the moment.

Thank you to everyone who supported the cause by purchasing a red nose. Every penny raised is being donated to make a difference. Together, we’re spreading smiles and making an impact!
