On Friday 21 March, Florence was buzzing with laughter as students and staff got creative for Red Nose Day!
On Wednesday 19 March, students and staff came together at the end of lunch to celebrate our incredible Founding Year 7 students —the very first to walk through our doors and shape the heart of Co-op Academy Florence MacWilliams. Their pride, ambition, care, and excellence set the standard for all who will follow.

Construction of our brand new academy is progressing rapidly and this week we reached a major milestone as the steel frame was installed.

Co-op Academy Florence MacWilliams is delighted to announce the success of its recent transition days, held on Wednesday 3rd July and Thursday 4th July, to welcome and prepare new students who will be starting in September. These two days were marked by warmth, friendliness, and a vibrant display of our academy's ethos of Pride, Ambition, Care, and Excellence for Self, School, and City.
We're thrilled to have officially joined Co-op Academies Trust. The Trust operates across the North of England, working across several different regions including Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, Staffordshire and Merseyside. They have extensive experience with secondary schools, including with well regarded Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent. It also has experience in setting up a free school in Manchester - Co-op Academy Belle Vue.
